Today, we’re excited to share some big news: Hilos has been acquired by ActiveCampaign!

By combining data, AI, and 950+ integrations (including Shopify, Facebook, Salesforce, and Square), ActiveCampaign makes it effortless to create personalized experiences across the entire customer lifecycle—which now includes native WhatsApp-first messaging.
What does this mean? Hilos customers can expect the same level of continued service and sending. The same team that has built Hilos to date will join ActiveCampaign in its entirety, and we will remain focused on making Hilos even better!
By joining ActiveCampaign, we will integrate Hilos’ technology into its platform over the coming months, allowing users to effortlessly build WhatsApp automations from the same interface as their email, marketing, SMS, social media, and CRM automations. Whether WhatsApp is your primary customer communications channel, or just one of many, you’ll benefit from ActiveCampaign’s AI-powered cross-channel marketing automation platform.

Will Hilos continue to be a standalone product?
Hilos by ActiveCampaign is the same product our users know and love for automating WhatsApp messaging. This will continue to be available, now with an integration between ActiveCampaign and Hilos to enable contact syncing, connected automations, and flows between platforms. Our mission doesn't change, and the Hilos team will continue to focus on WhatsApp, innovating how to automate marketing and sales conversations and leveraging the latest and greatest from WhatsApp.
Later this year, ActiveCampaign will introduce a fully native experience, where Hilos will be fully incorporated into the ActiveCampaign platform. This will extend the scope of Hilos today, increasing capabilities for businesses to use ActiveCampaign’s AI-powered cross-channel marketing automation platform—bringing together native email, SMS, and WhatsApp channels. You will still be able to leverage WhatsApp as a standalone channel even after this migration to the ActiveCampaign platform, benefiting from ActiveCampaign’s strengths in AI and automations.
Will my scheduled automations be disrupted?
No! You can expect to continue running your WhatsApp messaging and automations as usual, and there’s no immediate change to your account, service, or how you use the platform. We’ll keep you informed well in advance of any future updates!
